Everyone understands that politicians channel their inner Meryl Streep during election cycles in a bid to convince us that they are, also, human — just like us!

Republicans do it. Democrats do it. It’s just a part of running for office (unfortunately).

But after Donald Trump spent the afternoon at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania, the way people reacted, you’d think he was serving up Big Macs made from puppies, transgender children, and — worst of all — non-organic beef.

Newsweek even investigated whether Trump’s shift at McDonald’s was gasp staged!

May I remind you all — for those who have somehow forgotten — that Donald Trump has survived not one but two assassination attempts. You think they’d just open up the Drive-Thru and make it third-time’s-a-charm?!
