”Poor Guy”: AOC Needs To Decide If Harassment Is Good Or Bad
If she deserves protection from a moron making comments about her rear end, then maybe Brett Kavanaugh deserves protection from maniacs who want to murder him and his family?
According to the most prominent member of the modern Democratic Party — Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — harassment of public officials is good…unless she’s the victim, in which case harassment is bad.
“I posted about a deeply disgusting incident that happened today on the Capitol steps, but took it down bc it’s clearly someone seeking extremist fame,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “It’s just a bummer to work in an institution that openly allowed this, but talking about it only invites more. Just really sad.”
“Here is a video he posted of the incident,” she continued, before claiming she was about to physically assault the man sexually harassing her. “I was actually walking over to deck him because if no one will protect us then I’ll do it myself but I needed to catch a vote more than a case today.”
Now, comments like “you look very beautiful in that dress,” “you look very sexy,” “look at that booty on AOC,” and “you’re my favorite big-booty Latina” are obviously examples of sexual harassment which have no place in political discourse.
But let’s not forget that in her response, Ocasio-Cortez uncovered the shameless hypocrisy at the center of the American Left: violence and harassment is good…except for when it’s not.
And when is violence and harassment “not good”? When they’re the victims, of course.
