Qué? Jill Biden: Hispanics As “Unique” As Tacos
It’s time we demand more from those we elect to represent us. Not comparing people to Mexican sandwiches would be a start.
We’ve been told that First Lady of the United States, Jill Biden, is smart. Like, super smart — she’s a doctor, after all.
Sure, she’s a doctor of education from the University of Delaware, but that didn’t stop Whoopi Goldberg from pitching her as surgeon general because she’s a “hell of a doctor”...
My least favorite characteristic among our political class — aside from the corruption, the deceit, and the sexual debauchery — is their determined propensity to pander to various communities.
Think Hillary Clinton telling black radio hosts that she always carries hot sauce in her bag, or Donald Trump celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a thumbs-up and a taco bowl, alongside the caption, “I love Hispanics!”
But at least Clinton and Trump did their research — even though the results of the research were stereotypical, even racist. The same cannot be said of Jill Biden, the most prominent emotionally-abusive spouse in the country.
On Monday, the First Lady delivered the headline speech at a “Latinx IncluXion Luncheon” in San Antonio, Texas, during which she said that Hispanics were as “unique” as tacos.
"Raul helped build this organization with the understanding that the diversity of this community, as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio, is your strength," Biden said.
One quick side note: I’m British, and so I am genetically unable to speak any other world language (what’s the point of forcibly spreading the English language across the world during a few hundred years of imperialism if you can’t use it to your lazy advantage), but even I know that “bodega” is pronounced “bo-de-ga,” and not “bo-ge-da”...
Now, you’d think — given Biden’s educational prowess — she would have learned her lesson from the last time she tried to shamefully pander to the Hispanic community. Or, at the very least, switched the channel over to Univison for an afternoon.
